FURNITURE REPAIR SERVICES
Tired of wobbling tables, squeaky chairs or broken cupboard doors? We’ve all been there. Since 2008 we’ve been repairing furniture before we put it up for sale in the shop, as well as helping customers who bring in their beloved furniture for repair.
How the furniture repair process works:
Provide us with a photo (via email or WhatsApp) or bring your furniture in for assessment. We’ll then supply you with a quote and explanation of what needs to be done. We’ll also supply you with a time frame of how long it’ll take us to complete your furniture repair.
Approve the quote and pay the deposit.
Arrange a date to pick up your new and improved piece of furniture. If you’d like us to provide furniture delivery, we can do that too!
Some of our upholstery services
Furniture Repair
Many of our jobs require strengthening and repairing broken elements. The exact process varies depending on the job, but it mostly comes down to the taking apart – and putting back together of joints. The reinforcing and sometimes the building up of it. That’s why it’s also referred to as structural furniture repair.
Antique Chair Repair
We call this an ‘antique chair repair’ mixed in with elements of structural repair (using both glue and a set of clamps) to put the chair back together. After picking up chairs, we were able to process the job in about 2-3 days.
Custom Repair Elements
What do you do when you’re tables, chairs, cupboards have a missing or broken element (a broken leg, a fractured arm or a completely missing cupboard door? Easy, you come to us! We repair or re-create brand new elements that match the current style of the overall piece. This is one of our most rewarding services to offer.
Rattan and Rimpie Repair
Over the course of 2017, our Rattan and Rimpie repair service has almost doubled. From benches, to chairs and even the odd headboard. We sense a trend coming along for this luxurious French look!
Leather Upholstery Repair
Leather furniture is often a home’s pride and ‘comfort joy’ until there have been just one too many scratches from the cats and dogs…or children! Then we find ourselves ignoring the ugly patches because the thought of how much it’ll cost to fix is just depressing. Not only can we do the job – we promise to give you a fair and affordable price for you to get your couch back to its former glory.
Upholstery Services
For close to 10 years, we’ve been offering an affordable, reliable upholstery and re-upholstery service. From headboards, lounge suites, sofas & couches to recliners, dining room chairs and more! Bring in your material or a picture of what you’d like us to work on and we’ll advise you how much material we’d require, as well as some suggestions of where you can find beautiful material for a good price.
Slipcover Upholstery
The cost of a brand-new couch is often overrated. If you love your current couches shape and the structure is in good condition, creating a new slipcover could be the right route for you! Come and chat to us. We’ll tell you how many metres you need and where you can buy material that suits your budget. After that we can get started on reviving your beloved couch!
Upholstery Re-Stuffing and Foam
Beautiful, well made and maintained furniture stands the test of time, but sometimes it can start to lose shape due to the stuffing or foam ageing. This process if fast and offers us a dramatically improved look!
Upholstery Webbing
Webbing is the industry old approach to building couches structures, empty chair frames and the base of an ottoman. It’s the base for foam, horse hair or springs or any other fillers. To apply the material, we use a webbing stretcher, scissors and a staple gun to ensure our furniture has a strong, sturdy base.
